About
I was born in Mexico City, where I also received my bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the National University (UNAM).
After an exchange semester at Hanyang University in Seoul, I decided to go back for a master’s on International Studies at Ewha Womans University and a subsequent master on Public Management from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, both in South Korea.
After working in finance for a Korean company in Mexico, I went back to Asia, where I worked as a lecturer at Mongolia International University in Ulaanbaatar for two years prior to joining the Political Science department at Rice.
I speak Spanish, English, French and Korean. I can confidently read Portuguese and I can read the Cyrillic alphabet.
Fun Facts:
I enjoy reading, swimming, traveling, and as a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be an Egyptologist.
